WW: Defenders of Our Skies, and Everything Below
One of our finest, flying over my house last night. This photo could’ve been clearer, if I could’ve gotten him to slow down and if I had a much more expensive camera!

I live near a master jet base for the US Navy, and I hear F-18s on most days. Having lived here for so long, I’m somewhat immune to the sounds, but I always look at those jets and their pilots as examples of freedom.
Great photo!
Inspiring, Happy WW!
on our end, we live near the airport so it’s commercial jets for us
my daughter loves seeing planes fly by.
anyway, without the expensive camera, i still love the pic.
I have a weakness for REALLY cool planes. I always have. The smell of jet fuel makes me all happy and excited, so this photo rocks!!
it’s a wonder you were still able to capture that jet!
see, you’re still quick!
happy everyday!

Great shot!!! We live near Andrews AFB and we get LOTS of air traffic around here. I’ve never tried to capture one tho! Good job!
Happy WW!
That is too cool. We have a helicopter that flies over daily (kind of creepy–it is awfully tempting to get all “they are spying on us” but it has something to do with the juvenile incarceration place not far from here–which is also creepy.)
I’m impressed you caught the plane at all! I’m grateful for the many sacrifices of our military. God bless them.
I used to live behind the air base in Jacksonville, Arkansas and the sound of the C130s engines would put me to sleep. That’s a really great shot you got! Thanks for stopping by!
Considering how fast those jets fly (we used to live near Wright-Patt AF base in Dayton) that’s a good pic!
My WW has to do with flying today, too!
good shot! I love it when the jets fly overhead (except when I am on the phone *grin*)
big, expensive big boy toys!
happy ww.
Wow!…Didnt know you and I lived within the area of their operations. I am about 35 miles northwest from the base and they love to fly low level right over my home. Problem is that they are gone when you hear them. My friend is a sergeant at the base and gives me a heads up when they will be doing air to air missions. They seem to dogfight right over my area. Love this shot.!!
Good job of ID’ing the plane, as well as for getting the pic you did get, under the circumstances (and under the tree, for that matter).
