Photo Hunt: Different

Posted at 7:42 am under Photo Hunt, The Swamp

photohunter7iq.pngThis week’s Photo Hunt Theme is Different.

This downed tree is different from the one the Turtles usually use for their morning sunning.

We had an extreme drought here in South Georgia last year, with wildfires. This year we’re getting so much rain we’re flooding. The Swamp has had several trees fall already. The Turtles seemed pleased about this one for their daily sunning.

They usually line up according to size, largest in the front, which is different from this messy and unorganized formation.

Hmmmmm, someone else on the photo hunt has a line of turtles…they’re just too cute, aren’t they?

My ‘different’ is shared, if you haven’t stopped by yet, I hope you will. I love comments from my visitors.

Out hopping the photohunt pics. A line of turtles. Who knew they usually lined up by size…

Hey, I just had a wine fest with my sis last night too!

    How cute.

Glad you guys got some rain. We didn’t have a drought like you did in GA, but we are getting a lot of rain here in MS.

That’s a really good picture- I love turtles! Here, in TN, we’re covered in snow.

They’re all looking at something – look at their little heads all craned and everything, lol.

Waiting for food? For a command? I could go on forever, lol.

That is too cute–makes me think of Yertle the Turtle.

The turtles are so pretty! They remind us of spring – nice and sunny.

That is a great picture! The baby turtle at the end makes it so cute. :D

Those turtles certainly look like they are enjoying the sunshine! *smile*

Great shot…should be the winner this week!
We have turtles like those on wooden boards put out for them. Put they are too far away to get a good shot.

This is a wonderful photo. I often wonder how the wildlife stand these erratic changes in our weather. Swamps are marvelous ecosystems full of life, and they are so important. These turtles look beautiful. Must be some place down there!

What is this that causes turtles to gather in one place? They seem to have a need for getting together…

    Have a great week.

i guess the order for things has been changed since the wildfire.
i did not know that turtles have a “protocol” in sun bathing.
    great version of the theme.

If we have turtles in northeastern Washington I have never seen them. Very different! I loved visiting your blog!

inland empire girl hasn’t seen them in n e Washington. I haven’t seen any in south central Washington either. Except the one a first grade student brought to school for her science project demonstration. The question: Why are turtles so slow? We gathered round in a circle. She set the turtle in the middle, and it took off like a bat out of he**!
