Barb's life, in photographs

Pre-Hurricane Ida

I thought I’d give you a photo that wasn’t a messy remodel-in-progress for a change! Isn’t he adorable? I ♥ Basset Hounds. I don’t know who he belongs to and have never seen him before this morning, but there he was at the end of my driveway as I was leaving for the Swamp. He didn’t even bark, which is a shame because I love their distinctive bark!

So. Yesterday I didn’t go to Bingo after all. I decided I really wanted to finish the last coat of mudding on the paneling so I can get it primed and painted and move on to the next project. I also have to do the same thing to the mud room off the kitchen, but it is a very small room and won’t take much time at all. Ha! Well, we’ll see, won’t we?! ;-)

I woke up this morning to the news that Hurricane Ida is on her way. I haven’t watched much news lately. Can you tell? My mother also did not mention it at all, which is very surprising since her nickname is The Weather Lady.

Well, I’ve got to get busy sanding the walls to get them ready to be primed! I hope you all have a fabulous day! Big Hugs ♥xo

  3. Cute dog. Let’s hope Ida isn’t too destructive.

I love to see your work in progress pics ~ in fact I just like to read your blog. End of.

  4. What a sweetie! I love looking at your remodel, pix of the green grass and shade trees and and lovely coloured houses.
When I lived in my antique home, I was frequently visited by a sweet, elderly, semi-senile Basset.
I’d always walk him home because he could never remember his way. But he was the happiest boy ever.

Tell “Ida” to leave you alone. You don’t need a messy guest.

  5. He’s cute! I am visited by two white kitties as I type (son Brian’s two girlz). I just scooted back in my chair scaring one off…that I didn’t know was behind me! Life is interesting with multiple cats, right?

    Big hugs from rainy Mayberry…

  6. What a lovely area you live in. I too like the puppy dog. Our babies are just so precious.

Have fun working on your paneling that won’t look like paneling very soon.

Have a terrific day. Big hug and lots of ear scritches for The Boys. :)

  8. The last dog that my parents had was Sam, a big ole’ bassett hound who drooled like nobody’s business and loved a good belly scritch. This picture kind of reminds me a bit of Sam.

I was kind of surprised to see that a hurricane is coming this late but it’s definitely been a strange year with the weather, hasn’t it?
