elvis has left the building
Well, Mr. and Mrs. McGoose, Molly and Fibber (2009) and Huey and Dewey (2008) flew away! They started flying about a week ago. Always a bittersweet moment for me… I get to see the goslings fly for the first time, but shortly thereafter, they migrate. I won’t see them again until next Spring.
Farewell, my goosies!

Did they at least give you a cheerful honk good-bye as they took flight?
Funny this passage of time and all the rituals that go along with it.

They will be back…they have a good GPS that returns them to their birth place. We’ve had a family of mallards return every year. Love it!
