Barb's life, in photographs

grayson’s ‘go to bed’ face

Grayson 071609_IMG_9582

… which coincidentally looks a great deal like Grayson’s ‘give me some treats’ face.

I am installing a new floor in my office at home today, and by ‘I am installing’ I mean I will be overseeing the job while Al and his grandson Daniel do the heavy lifting and measuring and actual installation while I watch, fetch water and the occasional photo. In any case, I won’t be on-line all day until this job is completed because -as you can imagine- my desk and computer happen to be in said office and it has to be completely emptied before work can begin! All this is part of the preparation to move my actual work office, which is now at the swamp, into my home.

I’ll be painting next! And you know how I love to paint! I picked up a bunch of paint samples at Lowe’s yesterday! Woo Hoo!

  5. It you start working at home instead of The Swamp, what happens to Whitey?

    • Oh, don’t you worry! His Daddy Allen and his wife are moving back into the house at the swamp as soon as the remodeling is done! Whitey will be reunited with his buddies, Cosmo, BooBoo, Sarah and Tucker!

  6. That is an adorable face!
We were wondering about Whitey too. Will he be coming home with you or will you visit him at the swamp?

    • And I will still see Whitey all the time. It’s only 5 miles away! I would love to bring Whitey home as I fell head over heels in love with that Sweetie, but Gandalf would never have it. While I could work through the rough patch of adjusting them all to each other, my Dad is 80 and he deserves a stress-free home, as does my mother who will be 75. It would be too much for them.

  7. WE know you will miss working at the Swamp and seeing the geese and raccoons! But you can visit often.

  8. There is a beautiful young long haired solid black male for adoption at the Pet Sense in the town over and I would so love to have him. Maybe 4 months old. Playful. He reminds me of yours so much and my Calista, only black. My favorite cat color. And dogs too apparently! I knew Martin would kill me if I brought him home but oh, he is so pretty!

Happy renovations… enjoy the painting too. Picking out colours is always fun, I think.

  13. He is ‘adowable’ as my g/dtr would say. You are one busy lady. Good luck with all your projects! Hmmm, restful colors for the office, definitely!
