Helianthus Annuus
Look what my Dad grew for me this year!
See that nasty looking bug?
They’re planted along the back corner fence. They’re about 6-7 feet tall now.
These are some seriously cool flowers!
This is the first bloom! Isn’t she a beauty?

The very best job I could ever imagine is one that would pay me to think… and the currency would be wine!

Beautiful flowers. The bug is huge! What is it?
We have those bugs also….but not quite so big! I just bought some sunflower seeds to plant in my patio garden. I love them!!
Barb, those sunflowers are beautiful! Come get an award at my blog: 5 Blogs That Make My Day award
i love sunflowers. it amazes how they turn to where the sunlight rays are.
Whoa. That’s some beautiful sunflower. I’m not so sure about the bug though. That’s something you wouldn’t want crawling on you at night.
So very pretty. I love sunflowers. Not fond of the large bug however!
That is a prime example stink-us bug-itus and it’s a ginormous one, too. Clearly a credit to it’s race and eminently squishable…go ahead. Just cru-unch it!
The sunflowers are gorgeous! They have such happy faces, you can’t help but smile when looking at them. Your dad’s a good one to plant happy in your back yard.
Ухты, посмотрите, полевная штука.
