PhotoHunt: Free

Posted at 10:35 am under Cats, Photo Hunt, The Swamp

photohunter7iq.pngThis week’s Photo Hunter Theme is Free.

After Thursday’s post about my love for The Swamp, this week’s Theme Free was an easy choice. I can think of nothing that epitomizes “Free” better than Nature itself.

Our Swamp is completely “unmessed around with”. It is as God and all His wonderful creatures have made it. Free and Natural. So here are a few more photos of my wonderful Swamp.

In this one you can see some of the handy work of our Beavers. Isn’t it nice of them to cut some Free firewood for us? You can also see one of their dams in the top right.

In this one you can see Tucker, off on yet another Purrfect Adventure.

An added Bonus, our view is Free. Can you imagine what it might cost to hire a Landscaper to do this?

Wow! What a view. But wouldn’t this be a haven for other creepy crawly animals that might find its way to your home? Birds are ok but what about the legless creatures? Thanks for sharing the free view and for sharing about the biodiversity of life in and around and even on top of the swamp.

    Have a great weekend!

I think a lot of us are realizing that much in life is free and it’s awfully good stuff!!! The question I ask myself everyday: “What am I doing living in a city???”

  28. jesieon 16 Feb 2008 at 8:23 am 28

Yes, nature is free for us to enjoy. Let’s take good care of it so that we can continue to enjoy.

Mine is posted too. Happy photo hunting.

Great pictures - I love it that you have natural wetlands.
    Thanks for sharing.
Free landscaping is always a bonus! My chickens helped me landscape my property :) but I gave ‘em away to a FREE home when I moved. You can read about it at It’s A Blog Eat Blog World and see pics of one of the roosters.

Hi, I’m here via the Bloggers Over 50. I had to come, because I loved the name of your blog (and I do enjoy a glass of wine, cheers!). Now I have some really great news for you… your dream job does exist! The Poet Laureate in the UK gets paid in wine, and of course he/she has to think up poetry for state and other special occassions. There is a US Poet Laureate, but they get paid in money, $35,000 p.a. to be precise. If you moved to the UK and got the job you may get a few pennies to buy crusts of bread but you’d be well paid in wine. It’s a job for life, so you’d have to wait for the present incumbent to die, but in the meantime you could be polishing your reputation as a poet so everyone would think you were the obvious candidate for the job.

this is really a good collection of images. It is sad to see these nature is then being “ripped” apart…
