Meet My Boys
My Boys came to me 10 years after my divorce. Up until that time I had had dogs for 25 years, but never a cat (Mr. X was, and still is, severely allergic). My dogs passed from old age and I was still grieving their loss when one spring day a gray & tan tabby wandered into my yard. I’d bring him home to the neighbor across the street, but he came back every day. After a few weeks I found that I was looking forward to his return. It occurred to me that for the first time in my life I could get a cat - no Mr. X allergies. I had my friends keep an eye out for a kitten that needed rescuing. The rest is history.
Meet my boys.Gandalf is my talker. I rescued him when he was only 3 weeks old. He is a bit bashful for a few moments, than he’s in your lap as though you are old friends.
Grayson is a lover. I mean he loves everybody. He is a purring machine and everybody is his new best friend. I rescued Grayson when he was 1 year old and he has enjoyed every minute of his life since then.
Gandalf and Grayson both like birds, squirrels, lizards, frogs and bugs of all kinds. They also enjoy their Condo and long naps on my bed. They are best buddies and do everything together. They eat and ’stalk’ together. They groom each other and play together. They sleep like little apostrophes, spooning a-la-cat.
Much to my surprise, they are both living furry proof that cats can be trained, at least to some degree. They know several phrases and respond instantly. Some examples would be “Who’s hungry”? “Who’s ready”? “Let’s go to bed” and “Who wants some”? They also come as soon as I call them. Seriously.
Also, as cats are very agile, I can now set my wine glass down without fear of tipping - As much as I adored my dogs, the same cannot be said of them
They have their own blog at ItsAllAboutMeow. Go see what they’re up to!
Cheers!
